Baytna is an app for preparing a new home together. Everything in it — the rooms, the furniture you are considering, the prices, the money you have saved — belongs to the people in your space and to nobody else. This page explains exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and how to get rid of it.

Who we are

Baytna is made by Ahmed Saleh. For anything on this page, write to ahmed.elsersi3@gmail.com.

What we collect

WhatWhyWhere it comes from
Your name, email address and profile photo To sign you in and to show the other people in your space who did what Your Google account, or the email address you register with
What you put in the app: rooms, items, brands, prices, notes, comments, reactions, photos, links It is the app. This is the content you came to keep You
Money you record: deposits into the shared wallet, and what items cost To show your space's balance and history You
Crash reports and basic usage events To find out what is broken, and which screens are used Collected automatically by Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your messages, your calendar, or anything else on your device. Baytna asks for the camera and your photo library only when you choose to add a picture, and the picture is the only thing it takes.

Who can see it

  • The people in your space. A space holds you and the people you invite with a code — a partner, and up to a handful of family helping out. They see the rooms, items and wallet history you share, and the name attached to each entry. A room you mark private is visible only to you.
  • Google. Baytna runs on Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Crashlytics and Analytics — so your data is stored on Google's servers under Firebase's privacy terms.
  • Us. Administrative access exists for support and for removing abandoned spaces. It is not used to browse anyone's home.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no ads or third-party trackers in the app.

Where it is stored

On Google Cloud servers in the United States, in the Firebase project behind this app. Your device also keeps a local copy so the app works without a signal.

How long we keep it

  • Your content stays until you delete it, or until the space it belongs to is deleted.
  • Deleted items are recoverable for a few seconds and then permanently gone.
  • When the last member leaves a space, that space is closed and then permanently deleted.
  • Crash reports are kept by Firebase for up to 90 days.

Your choices

  • Get a copy. The budget screen exports your space as text or CSV, from the share button.
  • Correct it. Anything you added, you can edit.
  • Delete your account. In the app: Profile → Delete account. Or use the account deletion form, which needs no sign-in.
  • Turn off analytics. Uninstalling the app stops all collection; there is no advertising identifier to reset, because Baytna does not use one.

Children

Baytna is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app will tell you. The current version always lives at this address.
